2345 Grand was designed by the office of legendary architect Mies van der Rohe in 1975. With an implicitly expressive structure and a striking palette of materials, it is a classic icon to Modernism. PGAV is leading the effort to make 2345 Grand a significant symbol in Kansas City. Among the improvements: the renovated plaza will provide desirable outdoor space, with a refinished surface and new planting areas. Inside the glass-enveloped lobby, Mies van der Rohe inspired furniture – along with new planters, a refurbished security desk, and a new interactive building directory – will provide comfort and high aesthetic appeal. Glass artwork will be showcased on the travertine walls, which will not only give life to the lobby inside, but also present a public attraction for one of the best business locations in Kansas City. |
